“Most of the region’s large new housing
projects are taking shape west of Victoria, where land is cheaper and still plentiful. In Sooke, about a 45-minute drive from downtown Victoria, Totangi Properties is beginning its fifth phase of a development at Woodland Creek. The 29 new single-family homes begin at $384,900, including HST. Totangi’s Blair Robertson says there’s lots of competition; “but we are the only Built Green certified homes in Sooke with geoexchange heating, cooling and hot water, so we have the most energy efficient homes.”
